A Service Organization
Estamos Unidos originated as a Latino community-based group in the Harrisburg area in 2002.  It began as a group of volunteers who helped Hispanic children in three main areas: Cultural Heritage, Educational Advancement and Mentoring Programs.  The group’s first initiative was to provide gifts to underprivileged children during the holiday season.  Today, we continue our commitment to help hundreds of children and adults in the Capital Region.

History
Incorporated as a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization in 2003, the group focuses in a variety of areas: community service through educational projects; leadership and social skills development; advancing cultural awareness through the arts; traditions and family values; and assisting Latinos integrate into the larger community.  This is accomplished through a variety of programs and community events. In addition to the organization’s social service programs, Estamos Unidos is continuously involved in collaborative initiatives with governmental departments, local colleges and community groups.
